Here's my 3rd entry at the CDAC progressive challenge #5.
I love this little girly image. She looks like one of those wooden ornaments made in the Scandanavian countries. I had so much fun coloring her. I'm finished the blue challenge requirements and now it's back to Christmas for me. YAY!!!! I'm just lovin' Christmas cards.
I told my friend this morning that I have a new plan for card making. I'm going to try my best to make TWO of each card I start. That way I'll be way far ahead the closer it gets to Christmas. That's the plan anyway, and of course we all know how the best laid plans of mice and men go, now don't we.
I love the traditional colors of Christmas, reds and greens, they really are my favorite, but I do have some out of the box colored images that will be coming in the next few weeks.
I guess I'll just jump right in and start listing the elements of this card.
Stamps- Girl with Gingerboys from SSBS Design, sentiment from Winter Letter Seals by Whimsy Stamps

Paper- DCWV stacks, Holiday Collection and Homemade Christmas, ivory & green from my stash

CDACPC5- Turkey
Here's my 2nd. entry for the progressive challenge#5 over at CDAC. As I promised, here is my blue turkey. The theme was the cool side of the color wheel, so it was think outside the box this time. I think he turned out so cute. The sentiment is computer generated, so in other words, I made it up!
There are no to awfully many elements of this card so it will be pretty easy to describe it.
The image is from Sew Many Cards.
Papers are from a Sizzix mat stack I got on sale somewhere and cardstock from my stash.
I used Spellbinders, Fancy Tags Two, Floral Flourishes, & Labels Eighteen.
Flowers, pearls, ribbon, & rhinestones are from my stash.
I used some Waterfall Stickles on the flourishes.
I'm including a closeup of the Turkey as I want to show you the little cluster of dots in the background. I made those with my Viva Pearl Pen in Ice White. To be honest, I CASE (copyed and shared with everyone) this from another blog I follow, Bev Rochester's All the things I love. This woman's work is absolutely devine! I aspire someday to be as good at cardmaking as her!
I colored The Turkey with Copics, of course :-)
Hat Beak and shoes are a combo of 100 (blk) C7, C5,& C3
The body is B18, 12 & 00
The tail is B05, 02, & 0000
The ground under the Turkey is E30
Well thats about all for today folks. So I hope you enjoyed this little fellow, and thanks so much for stopping by.
Hugs,
Maureen

CDACPC5- Angel Bear
Here's my first post for the CDAC progressive challenge #5. I've been so swamped getting my order done and shipped I haven't had a minute to work with these cute images we received this round. I only have until the 30th, so i better get hoppin'. The challenge this time was to use the cool side of the color wheel. this one was pretty easy, but my next card to post is verrrrrry different. Have you ever seen a "blue" turkey? Well you're gonna, next post!!
I am in such a Christmas mode, I really don't want to make anything other than Christmas cards. It's not even Halloween yet. What the heck is the matter with me???? LOL. I've been looking over my pictures lately and I'm not too happy about what I see. It seems I mentioned a new camera a long time ago when I first started this blog. Do you think Santa would bring me one if I put it on my list? I think I've been nice enough this year to have earned it. Well now, if that statement wasn't being all full of oneself, I don't know what is. :-)
The recipe for this card is as follows:
Stamp- Angel Teddy from Just some lines at http://www.justsomelines.com/, Holiday Season Tickets from Whimsey.
Paper- Cloud 9 Wild Indigo (it's very yummy)
Spellbinders- Layered Poinsettia, Labels Six
Marianne Die- LR116
M.S.- Lace ribbon
Ice Sticles Silver Ice, on cloud, and M.S. glass micro beads on wings
Button, silver cord, rhinestones and jewelry spacers are from my stash. HINT: I smash the jewelry spacers flat with a little hammer to use as backing for beads, pearls, etc.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.
Hugs,
Maureen

CDACPC4- Scaredy Cat
Here's my 3rd. entry for the CDAC challenge. The image is from Designed2Delight and it's called Scaredy Cat. I'm struggling with this challenge, getting things done that is. I have a commishoned order to fill and I'm on a time line and since my craft table looks like a tornado hit it, and I'm hopping back and forth between challenge and order, and all the little everyday stuff in between, it's pretty chaotic at my place, LOL.
What? Christmas is in 73 days???? You're kidding, right????
And we have to fit Halloween and Thanksgiving in between???? Oh Lord help me!!!!!!
Hope all you out there in blog land are faring better than I. :-)
Anyway here's the elements I used on this card.
Paper- K & Company & CS from my stash
Stamps- Designed2Delight Scaredy Cat sentiment from $1.00 bin at Michaels

CDACPC4- Dragonlets and Me
Here's my 2nd entry for the CDAC progressive challenge. Dragonlets and Me is very Mystical indeed! This image is from Delicious Doodles. I went to Teri's store and I am amazed at the beautiful images I found there. I looked in the Fairy category and I fell head over heels I tell ya!!! Fairies are my favorite thing ever, and this little honey's sisters in the store are to die for!! I'll be shopping 'til I drop for sure. I have seen some wonderful artwork since I joined CDAC and I highly recommend it. There are tons of challenges, tutorials, freebies and more!! You should check it out, you won't be sorry.
The theme for this challenge is Halloween or Mystical, well I tried. I just couldn't bring myself to make this beautiful bit of magic into a Halloween card. So my imagination ran amok and "Have a Magical, Mystical Holiday" was born. I think I'm close enough to pass this time, :-)
The recipe as best as I remember is listed below.
Paper- DCWV Mademoiselle, K& Co. Classic K & Susan Winget designer mat pad, Ivory CS.
Spellbinders- Create a Flake One, twisted Metal Tags & Accents, Fancy Tags Two.
Ribbon, rhinestones & vintage gold medallion are from my stash.
Star Dust Stickles & Twinklets Diamond Dust
Sentiment is computer generated
Copics- Face & skin, E00, 01, R20, RV11
Outfit & wings- BG18, 15, 11, 10, & B0000
Dragonlets- YG06, & 01
How you enjoy this card as much as I enjoyed making it.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
Hugs,
Maureen

CDACPC4- Frankie- Stien
Here's my first entry for this CDAC Progressive Challenge round # 4. He's called Frankie-Stien, from Bonibleaux Designs, and he's very cute in a creepy, scary, halloweeny kind of way, but that's what Halloween is all about, right? They have a sale going on right now, digital Fall Images 50% off, YAY!! I did a 5 1/2 X 5 1/2 card this time, which is unusual for me as I usually end up with a 5 X 7. I very rarely do an A2 any more. I can't seem to get all my pretties on them. Hee, Hee. Just my style I guess, I LOVE to add lots of goodies to look at.
I swore I wasn't going to buy any more Copics, just use what I have, but now I see after doing this card, my greens are lacking something. I'm thinking I need some primary greens, if there is such a thing, you know, like Christmas tree greens. Hmmmm, have to get out the 'ol Copics color wheel and think on that one for a while.
I have lots of stuff going on on this card.......AGAIN! LOL, so I'll try to get it all in here. It seems when I creating, I don't want to stop long enough to write down what I use, so then I have to study the finished product to remember. Maybe I should think about a tape recorder to speak into and then play it back to myself. Well now if that doesn't sound like a statement from a dedicated, mad scientist paper crafter, I don't know what does!
Paper- Old K&Company double sided DP from my stash, white & olive & orange cardstock
Embellies- MS small bat punch, spider cut from my Cricut (Paper Doll cartridge), red rhinestones for eyes & covered with Glossy Accents. Small spotted orange circles are Candi. Lavender Stickles, grosgrain ribbon from my stash. And last but not least, Spellbinder curly flourish is from the fanciful Holiday set.
Hope I didn't forget anything. Have a great day & thanks so much for stopping by.
Hugs,
Maureen
