Heartfelt Happy New Year!

Hi bloggers, ready for the new year? It's coming whether we want it to or not I believe. I for one will be glad to see winter half way gone, but still, the time passes so quickly it tends to make my head spin! I am looking forward to the new collections coming up from Heartfelt Creations. The next release will be out on January 13th, and you can find a sneak peek here, on the Heartfelt blog.
You will notice that our new branding has gone live, with different colors and packaging, but have no fear, the same phenomenal quality has not changed one bit. As a matter of fact, I think any of you who purchase the new dies coming out this year will be amazed. They cut like butta!!!
Now on to my card for this week. It started out to be a 25th anniversary card, but I have decide it could also serve as a wedding card, as it is very neutral. I have used the HCPC 3640 Where The Heart Is, cling stamp as my focal point for my card. I used very soft toned Copic markers to color it and then added some flower power with the HCPC 3608 Arianna Blooms stamp and
HCD 748 Arianna Blooms Die and then a few little flourishes from the HCD 747 Arianna Lace Die
you will find complete instructions, measurements and Copic marker colors I used on the
Heartfelt Blog, along with tons more inspiration from my Teammates.
Here's a close-up of the pretty Arianna Blooms I made. There are several video tutorials HERE, for making this lovely flower along with many others, by our darling Creative Director, Emma Lou.
Thanks for stopping in today and come back again soon,
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Heartfelt Creations Christmas!

Hi bloggers, all ready for Christmas? I'm still finishing up last minute details. I'm not sure if it's my age catching up with me, or I just like playing with all my Christmas decorations as I get them out.... but whatever the reason it takes me forever to decorate!!!
I have a Heartfelt Creations Christmas card for todays post as it's so close to the holiday I just couldn't bring myself to make any other type of card. I love this holiday and I see a lot of my teammates feel the same way. So my advise for today is grab a cup of something delicious and spend a few moments of relaxation on the computer taking a breather and enjoy all the beautiful creations we have to offer! You can find it all HERE, and each of the projects has a complete set of instructions, along with all the products used, and they are available at the online store.
Here's a close-up of my pretty Christmas roses on my card, and you can see the diamond dust I've added to make them sparkle.
Here's hoping your holidays are magical and joyous and the New Year brings you nothing but happiness!

Time again for a bit of inspiration from Heartfelt Creations. My project today is a gift bag. I used the Romantique Garden Collection paper pad and the Heartthrob stamp and one of the Cut, Mat, Create dies to embellish my bag front. You can find the complete instructions for my project on the

Heartfelt Inspiration Wednesday

Hi bloggers. Time for another goodie from Heartfelt Creations. This is a pretty simple card today. Not usually my style, but I'm kinda gettin' the hang of the CAS business! I used only two of the lovely HC products on this card and I think it looks so pretty. I made a fan from the
I made some edges for my card with a Spellbinder die called S6-003 Enchanted Labels 28, used one of the paper pads 5" X 7" card fronts, and a tag from the same pad. I've added flat-backed bead string, glitter, ribbon and silver cord fastened with a jeweled brad to complete my card. Here's a side view so you can see how by just adding glitter to the pre- printed image can make it pop!
Make sure you stop over to the Heartfelt Creations Blog to see all the beautiful things my Designer Teammates have created for you this week. Remember on the HC blog you'll find complete detailed instructions for each project as well as the products you can get at the HC online store.

Thanks for joining me today and come back again!

My Besties Challenge- Christmas + Vintage

Hi Bloggers. Time for a great My Besties challenge, which runs from Dec. 8th. to Dec. 19th. This time it is "Christmas + Vintage" How perfect for this time of year. I've used an image from Sherri Baldy's My Besties store called "Raining Snow Flakes" I thought it was just perfect for my out of the box sort of thinking. :-) Her sweet little hat gave her just enough of a vintage look to be appropriate for this challenge. I used Graphic 45 designer paper from the "Christmas Emporium" 8"X 8" paper pad for all the paper elements on my card. The card base is a 5" X 7" Kraft pre-fold from Recollections. The poinsettia is made from Spellbinders Layered Poinsettia die and the pine branch is from Elizabeth Craft Designs. The Merry Christmas words are from the new Spellbinders S2-118 die. I thought the burlap bow and rusty jingle bells were just perfect for this look. I distressed some edges, sponged a bit of Vintage Photo ink, and if you look rely close you'll see some faux stitching! I've already been asked, so I will tell you here on my blog, the snow flakes were made with a Marvy Ushida Snow Marker pen. You can get them on line if you can't find it in a retail store. I colored my image with Copic markers and I'll list the colors below.
Copics used:
Skin- E11, 00, 0000
Cheeks and lips- R20
Hair- E25, 21, 50
Eyes- E29, 25
Beige's- E44, 43, 42, 41, 40
Reds- R29, 27, 24, 22, 39
Greens- YR99, 97, 95, 93, 91
Holly- YG67

Now girls & guys, we would love you to join our challenge so get out your vintagey mojo and create!
I'm thinking a Bestie Steampunk image would be awesome as a Christmas card too!
Here's the link for you to add your cards to the gallery and I hope you are a winner!

Thanks so much for joining me today & come back soon!

Heartfelt "Romantique Garden" Release

Hello Bloggers. We are debuting the latest release from Heartfelt Creations today.
This is "Romantique Garden" and our wonderful Kathy has written the most intriguing
description of this collection I just had to share it with you.

Love is in full bloom with the Romantique Garden collection from Heartfelt Creations.  A romantic symphony composed in subtle shades of pink, fuchsia, green, cream and charcoal harmonizes beautifully with picturesque images of dainty hummingbirds, devoted love birds, graceful swans and delicate bleeding heart bushes.  Ornate ironwork backgrounds are in perfect harmony with layered elements of vintage sheet music, lace, flowing handwriting, scrollwork, florals, stripes and flourishes.  Six hand drawn stamp sets capture the idyllic beauty of a peaceful garden where swans glide across the surface of a glassy lake, nesting lovebirds are wreathed in flowers, and hummingbirds sip nectar from blossom laden branches of exquisite beauty.  The coordinating die cuts feature elegant swirled stems, a graduated set of bleeding heart blossoms and a majestic pair of swimming swans.  Dreamy and idyllic, uplifting and inspiring, romantic and moving as a masterfully scored concerto, this enchanting collection is a celebration of love and life amidst the extraordinary beauty of nature.
I have two cards for you today featuring two completely different styles, for me anyway. Although, they are my favorites, Coloring and Glitter! You just can't get any better than that!
My first card is this sweet little garden scene that I colored with my Copic markers. The stamp is
HCPC Romantique Garden. I've also used a snippet of the gorgeous paper pad. It makes me dream of summer, ahhhhhhhh.......
My next card is sparkly, glittery, and bright. I was researching Bleeding Hearts and found this picture of blue ones on the web, so this is where my inspiration came from. Who knew they could be more stunning than they already are??? I've also chosen to color black swans to coordinate with the charcoal paper from the Romantique Garden Collection paper pad.

HCPC 3638 Romantique Swans PreCut stamp set on my card. Along with the
HCD 728 Timeless Amour Dies on this card.
Here's another view so you cab see how the heart stands up, yet still folds flat for mailing.
You can find the complete instructions for both my cards on the Heartfelt Creations Blog, and take a look at my team mates work, using this spectacular new collection!
Thanks so much for joining me today & come back again!
Hugs, Maureen

Heartfelt Wednesday Inspiration

Here's another Wednesday post with some wonderful inspiration for you with my ever-growing Heartfelt Creations inventory! I'm telling, you each and every release from them is better than the last. There will be so many exciting gorgeous things I will be sharing with you it will take your breath away. My card today is another from the Classic Sunflower Collection.
This card is my version of clean and simple. I used the Classic Sunflower paper for my background and the Die and cut my flowers from a sheet of the paper pad. I wanted to try something a little different. I LOVE the way it looks on the 6"X 6" card front panel. Doesn't it look just like blue jeans?
Here's a close-up, so you can see how pretty these plaid flowers really are!
There are complete instructions on the Heartfelt Creations Blog on how I made this card, and you can see all the beautiful work the Design Team has put together for you this week. Skate on over there(well here in Wisconsin, it's skate) and fill your day with some awesomeness from the other girls!
Thanks so much for joining me today and be sure to watch for the new release
"Romantique Garden" that will be coming your way on Black Friday the 28th!

Heartfelt Creations Wednesday Inspiration

Hi Bloggers. Today is my first official post as a Heartfelt Creations Design Team member!
I am so excited to be here to share all the paper and die goodness Heartfelt has to offer.
For the next two weeks it is Designers choice for our posts and then we have a delightful collection that will debut on Black Friday November 28th. This collection is called Romantic Garden, and you can find a preview and tutorial by Olga Jewel here. I have two cards for you today, one Fall, & one Christmas.  I think because the two Holidays are so close, Thanksgiving never gets the recognition it's due. Although my Fall card is a get well card, and not Thanksgiving, it makes me grateful that I am not ill and ever so thankful for what I am blessed with. The pretty Sunflowers make me feel happy and cheerful. You can find this release called Classic Sunflower Collection at the
Heartfelt Creations online store or use the "Find a store" button on the home page to find a retailer near you. Now on to my cards. You can find a list of products and instructions for each card at the Heartfelt blog, and view all the pretties of my team mates too!
The next card is my Christmas card. This card is made from the Festive Christmas Collection.
The paper pad in this collection is awesome! It has card fronts that are so beautiful all you need is a bit of ribbon and some glitter and you'll have breathtaking cards for all your friends and family in no time at all. Oh and by the way, there are thirty, yes 30, sentiments for inside your cards included in this pad! How great is that! This card has a technique that's quite popular right now called
"Bistro Chalkboard" and instructions are on the Heartfelt blog with my post.
Here's a close-up of the chalkboard look. This makes the "chalkboard" Look like is been erased a time or two.

Thanks for stopping by today and sharing my first Heartfelt post, please come again soon.
Hugs, Maureen

PPRS Inspiration Monday

Looking for My Besties Challenge post, please scroll down.

Well here I am again with my last post as a DT member for Prickley Pear. I know this is it for sure as I don't have any more cards made up ahead that were loaded into the Dropbox. My last card is for Halloween, which is only two weeks away now and all the little goblins will be out snatching up goodies as fast as they can! My card today uses the CLR029A Bats Set 2, and the matching
D029 Bat die. For all their creepiness, I do like this Bat set. I don't like them very much when they are flying around my house though, and yes they do manage to get in here. And close by me at all times is my trusty tennis racket!!

Actually this card was pretty quick to do up. The DP already had the bats printed on it. The bats are cut out with the die and stamped. I did use Versamark & white embossing powder as I cut one bat from black cardstock. The other I cut from white cardstock and embossed with black embossing powder. The web along the bottom is a MS punch and the sentiment banner I cut by hand and stamped with a verse included in this set. (there are two) I sponged a bit of black chalk ink on it and drew some cracks with my multiliner to make it appear as if it is old concrete from a cemetery. Creepy, creepy, creepy!! The spider web in the right upper corner is in this set as well. A little trim and a bow complete my card for today.
Thanks for joining me and my batty card, and be sure to come back again!
Hugs, Maureen

My Besties Challenge #21 "Bling it up"

Hi Bloggers. Time for a fresh new challenge at My Besties International. This time it's to "Bling it Up"!! One of my favorite things. Bling, glitter, anything shiny, whoo hoo!! Right up my alley. I have some strange fascination with anything sparkly. I feel akin to Raymond in the movie "Rainman". Do you think that makes me some sort of savant? Something to ponder......
Don't you want to enter? Sure you do, I mean look at the great prizes you could win! Just go HERE and add your project for a chance to some fabulous Besties to add to your collection, or start one if you don't have one already.
My card today uses IMG764 from Sherri Baldy's Etsy Store. Doesn't she just scream bling? I colored my image and then drug out everything I could find that had sparkle to match her dress & went to town! I love the way this card turned out.
This is such a quick & easy image to color & looks outstanding when she is completed.
Here's a close-up so you can see how really blingy she is!
So please, come join us for this fun & exciting challenge which runs from Oct. 13th through Oct. 24th. Just click here and follow the linky tools to add your entry.
Thanks for stopping by today & good luck, I hope you're a winner!

My Besties UK Guest

Hi Bloggers. I am honored to post my card today as a guest designer for the
My Besties UK Challenge Blog. You should really go & visit, they do some beautiful work & have awesome challenges for you to enter & possibly win!
Carol, aka silverpaws asked me to guest, and I leaped on the opportunity to do it!
I had this Image 958 colored up for a while now & it is one of my favorites, so I decided to make a Christmas card up. I love the image & her two little birdie friends just make it so special. If you'd like to see all the wonderful Christmas images from Sherri Baldy see them here.
My card is a 5X7, one of my favorite sizes to make, and I cut my image with the "out of the box" technique, or in this case, out of the circle. I added some Stardust Stickles to the fur on her clothing, I mean what's Christmas without glitter, right? The snow on the bird house, trees, and ground is Aleene's Glitter Snow, and I added a bit more glitter while the paste was wet. I mean who doesn't want more glitter! The trees are from a Marianne Studio die, the ornament border is from Whimsy Stamps, which I used the negative parts from this die to make the tiny flakes on my trees and background. The snowflake border on the bottom is Frostyville from Memory Box. The "let it snow" banner is from an old Inkadinkado stamp set I have had forever seems like. I fussy cut it to fit through an old Just-Rite oval set, cut out with Spellbinders Classic Ovals Sm.
I colored the image with my Copic markers, but Unfortunately I can't seem to find the color list.
I'm pretty sure the blues are, B99, 95, 93, 91, and a little B0000 for the pale blue. Here's a close-up of the image for you, just in case you want to figure out the colors on your own, bad me!!!!
Thanks for joining me today for my guest spot, and please come back soon.
Hugs, Maureen

CHF Challenge #63

Hello bloggers. Time once again for a challenge from Cornish Heritage Farms. Our hostess today is Kelly & she has challenged us to create a card or project using a storybook theme.
I was inspired by Peter Pan. I've read the book, seen every version and remake of it, including the animated versions. But I must say my favorite was the last movie "Hook" with the unforgettable Robin Williams. So my card is in honor of all the children, both young and old who have enjoyed this classic, and like myself, have decided growing old is inevitable, growing up is optional! Just like  Wendy and the Lost Boys of Neverland!
My card today features two digital stamps. Pirate Map 2, from the Pirates and Booty collection, and
Alligator from the Animals collection. I had some map background paper that went well with my scene and the little "Neverland" sign was hand cut by me. I printed some tick, tocks by my gator as because we all know he swallowed the watch along with Captian Hooks hand! I added a few Candi and that completed my card for this challenge.

If you would like to play along with us of course we would love to have you!

PPRS Inspiration Monday

Well bloggers.... I lied! LOL I told you last week it was my last post for Prickley Pear as a DT member and guess what? Here I am again! I was notified by the coordinator that two of my extra cards would be used for this week and next, so I guess I'm still posting for the team until then. My card today is another Christmas card. I wonder how the time has gone that it is way past time to start making holiday cards, yikes! I have used the FF0177 Santa Checking His List,
and EE0196 Checking It Twice, rubber stamps for my card today. I mean who doesn't love Santa?

I used some paper from a mat stack by Susan Winget for K&Company, which has the tree & presents already on it. I just added some glitter to the ornaments & star for a little zing! The mat for my Santa is Aspen Snowflake, a PAP from Martha Stewart, and I colored him with my Copic markers. I saved the positive punches from the corners and popped them up on top of a McGill punch to make the snowflakes. I pretty ribbon & bow completes my card.
Thanks for stopping in to see me today & come back again.

National Card Day

Good morning all my Blogger friends. It's national card day today and in honor of it I have a card I made for my friends Granddaughter's wedding, which is today. Unfortunately it is nasty(first snow, yuk!) today here in the mid-west & the wedding is outside later in the day. I'm hoping that it will clear up and be nice this afternoon for at least an hour for them. the reception is indoors, so that is a blessing for sure. The bride is wearing off white and all fall colors is her theme. the guys tuxes are black, but have a camo vests of course, as this is the hunting mecca of the north! Anyway I figured it would be safe to post this card today, because the Bride will be too busy to see it on my blog, sneaky huh?

I am showing a close-up of the leaves I stamped and fussy cut out to match the leaves in the bridal party's bouquets. So pretty. There is a story behind all this. Last fall I had a huge garage sale, which included a lot of my crafting supplies that I thought I wouldn't need or hadn't used in a coon's age. Well I can not even tell you how many times I have gone to drag out something to make a card with, and guess what? I discover that I have sold it at my garage sale. Which, I might add included my fall leaves die set. What was I thinking! I will certainly remember this the next time I think I need to do a bit of house (craft room) cleaning.
Well I hope you've enjoyed my post today and you are inspired to make a card or go on a blog hop, or do something crafty, in honor of National Card Day!!
Thanks for stopping in and come again soon.

PPRS Inspiration Monday

Time for my final Prickley Pear inspiration post. My six month term has drawn to a close and it's time for me to move on. I may have another post next week, if the DT coordinator uses another of my cards for the 10-6 posting. I will certainly miss all the girls on the team, they have done some gorgeous work these past months. Now on to my card.
I have chosen to use FF0178 Rudolph, EE0197 Naughty or Nice, and the new D050 Mini Flourish, which are all from the new fall & winter release. I love this Reindeer stamp. He was so much fun to color and you'll notice I used some out of the box colors to go with my designer paper. The paper is a 6X6 pad called Christmas Joy from First Edition. I think changing it up a bit from the traditional Christmas colors is fun once in a while & this pad certainly allows you to do that very thing!
I added some interest to my card with the punched snowflakes, twine, and the core'dinations paper that I embossed with a folder and then sanded to make the flakes pop. I think it looks great behind the reindeer that I fussy cut out. And that completes my card for today. Be sure to stop in and visit my team mates listed on my sidebar for some more great inspiration!
I hope you enjoyed my card & thanks for stopping in and come back soon.
Hugs, Maureen

PPRS Inspiration Monday

Hi bloggers! Time again for a PPRS post with some inspiration to go along with it I hope. My time with Prickley Pear is drawing to a close and I must say I've learned a lot but it is time for me to move on to other adventures, whatever they may be. I'll be here for another week or maybe two and then the new team will announced, and take over for the next six months.
My card today features GG0203 Bat Lady, and DD0219 Potions and Spells rubber stamps. The paper is from Recollections called Midnight Magic. The bats and drippy goo are MS punches. A little braid and some pearls to complete my card.

Thanks for joining me today and be sure to visit my team mates listed on the side bar.

PPRS Inspiration Monday + DT call

Looking for My Besties Challenge? Please scroll down!

Time again for some inspiration from Prickley Pear. I have another Halloween card for you today using the CLR048 Build a Cat set. There are four different cats in this set along with two Halloween sentiments, so if you have in mind to purchase only one stamp set for this holiday, this would be a great choice. There is also a die that matches this set, D048 Build a Cat,  to make cutting them out a breeze. My card today uses two of the cats that reminded me of Egypt and all it's history of Pharaohs and Mummies. Purrrrfffffect choice for my Pyramid background, right? Get it, LOL
My card is pretty simple, using an A2 Kraft card base, Pyramids printed from the internet, (thank God for Google!) layered on a piece of background paper from Colorbok Hootenany, a punched border to hide the seam, and three pearls to complete my card.
I did want to mention that Prickley Pear is having a Design Team call and if your interested in trying out for a position on their team you can find all the details on the benefits and requirements at the Prickley Pear Blog with this link.
Thanks for joining me today & I hope you enjoyed my creepy creation!
Hugs, Maureen

CHF Challenge #61

Hi there everyone. Time again for a challenge from Cornish Heritage Farms. This time our hostess is Amber and she has challenged us to make a masculine/little boy birthday card. Now this is the biggest challenge for me as I struggle with "man" cards as I like to call them. I feel like there is never enough stuff on the card, but men don't like all that "stuff" right?

I'm actually pretty happy with the way my card turned out. I have a real soft spot for cowboys, so this image was right up my alley.  You can find this digital image at the CHF' store, here. My sentiment was computer generated and then after I got the whole card put together I realized I should have used "Partner" instead of Cowboy. Well, next time I guess. My card is very simple, I used a kraft card base, an ivory mat and some DP. I cut some barbed wire with a Cherry Lynn die that I have and made some stars from a tiny die in my stash. (every cowboy is a star, right?) I did a bit of distressing with my Distrez-it-all, love that little machine. I colored the image with my Copic markers and cut it out with a Deckled Spellbinders die.
If you would like to play along with us of course we would love to have you!
To play create a card using CHF images. You can use either CHF digi or rubber stamps to create a card or project.... anything you like as long as the stamps are Cornish Heritage Farms. (Yes, they can be older stamps)
.You can enter on the CHF blog and let us see your creations. If you enter your project on the blog or SCS or Pinterest just remember to use the code CHF61.

PPRS Inspiration Monday

Hello again bloggers. My time on the Prickley Pear Design Team is winding down. Our term ends September 30th. So this month I will be bombarding you with Halloween goodies and then at the end a wee bit of Christmas! All the cards this month will incorporate the new Fall/Winter releases. You've already seen the Steampunk Gears 3 Set I received if you followed our Hop, if not you can scroll back through my posts to find them. Todays cards uses the HH0172 Mummy rubber stamp and a verse from the CLR048 Build a Cat set.

I've used some Halloween background paper to resemble a dark spooky night for my little Mummy to be sneaking around with his pumpkin. I shaded the wrappings of the mummy with W1 & W0 Copic markers & then fussy cut him out. The moon is punched from orange paper. I cut the clouds from gray cardstock & gave them a few shadows with C0 & C1 Copics. The tombstone I just cut out and matted from grey & black cardstock. I drew the little cracks with a black multiliner for no other reason other than it looked too plain, LOL. A dab of ribbon and some Candi & that completes my card.

Thanks for joining me today & come back soon.
Hugs, Maureen
