PPRS Inspiration Monday

Good morning Bloggers. It's time for some inspiration from Prickley Pear.  In my welcome package that I received when I joined the design team, there was a new release called
CLR047 Mini Vases and a matching die D047, which is a set of three. This set was starting to gather dust, so I figured I had better get my fanny going & use it!
I had an idea swirling around in my head for a silhouette look on a sunset background........well do you think I had any Washi tape in the sunset colors? Of course not!  So once again, necessity( the mother of invention don't ya know) took over and this card is the finished product. I used Distress Ink broken China and sponged it in layers to get the graduated color for my background. I added strips of Washi tape from Craft Essentials at different heights, taking care to leave enough room for my stamps & vases. This tape is really nice as there are two coordinating rolls of tape in these packages. I got it at Jo-Ann's, just in case you wanted to know. The flower bunches are stamped directly on the background and the vases are cut out with the die, stamped and popped up with dimensional foam dots. The sentiment is included with the stamp set. I added a little color here and there with Copic BG18, and some Stardust Stickles and the bottom border is an old MS pansy border punch.

Here's a close-up of the vases so you can see how they are popped up. It REALLY adds something to the card I think. I am all about dimension & visual interest. Flatness is the enemy in my world. LOL
Thanks for joining me today for some inspiration. Make sure to visit my team mates listed on the side bar they do some fantastic work!
Hugs, Maureen
