Hi there bloggers. Just a quick post as this card is going to someone for her Birthday this afternoon.

Oh well it's not alcohol or smoking so I'll take it, thank you very much! LOL

Here's a close up of my little girlie, don't you just love her? I am praying for spring so this image reminds me of it.

Happy Valentine's day- my way

Hi bloggers. I have a cutesy card today, sort of Valentiney, but could be used for other occasions I think. I don't have a Valentine in my life so I'm not big on them I guess. There are a few neutral challenges out there this week I want to enter so this is my interpretation.
Once again I got a little carried away with "stuff" on my card, but I LOVE it. I'm on a mission to try & use up some of my over abundance of jared (word?) flowers. You know, the ones everyone went nuts over packed in jars or cute little irresistible boxes. And I know you're out there. Well I was not immune to that fad either and now I trying to devise a way to use them up. Stack em', trim em', glitter em', brad em' cover em' up with something else, well you get the picture, LOL. The image is from My Besties, artist Sherri Baldy. Love those little big eyed girls!
I used some Spellbinder Classic Scalloped Hearts, Bitty Blossoms,  Cheery Lynn Heart to Heart Lace Doily set,  Mini Fanciful Flourish, and my new Magnolia Doohickey die called "Sprawling Ferns"
I waited and waited for this baby. It comes from overseas and was backordered week after week, but Leann over at Picture This is persistent & oh my goodness it was worth the wait. You ask how anyone could get so excited about a die? A line from a song comes to mind "Sometimes I get a little feeling" and that is pretty much all I have to say about that! The ribbon papers & charm are from my stash, oh and the bottom of the card was made with an old MS border punch. The name of it eludes me at the moment. Here's a close-up for you & I've listed the Copics below. For the girls who took my class last weekend on folds & pleats, notice how I used that technique on the cupcake wrapper!

Copics used-
Skin- E13, 11, 000, W3
Cheeks- R30, E000
Lips- RV34, CB
Hair- E23, 31, 41, W3
Eyes- YG67, 63
Cupcake wrapper- E29, 25, 23
Frosting- RV00, 000
Pinks- R83, 81, RV000, W3
Greens- YG03, 01, W3, CB

Here are the Challenges I'm entering this card in:

Thanks for stopping in today and I'll be back soon.

Sweatersock Fairy

Hello there friends, happy Monday. I have a card today colored up with a Saturated Canary image called Sweatersock Fairy. I haven't colored one of Krista's images in a while, so I thought I need a pick me up & it really did the trick! And of course it didn't hurt that it was a Fairy.
Seems like there isn't a lot of stuff on this card, but I have used quite a few dies & I'll tell ya, if I hadn't run out of room there would have been more come out of the box too. Lordy how I love them dies!
Spellbinders, fancy lattice, Labels Ten, Venetian Accents for the little mask, a butterfly from Wonderful Wings (I did do a bit of pruning on this one) & Cheery Lynn's Mini Flourish One & Lace Corner Deco E.  The ribbon is from my stash & Candi's are from Picture This. The sentiment is from an old set I purchased from Whimsy Stamps. I don't like hugh sentiments on the front of my cards so I either computer generate them or use these little circle ones that I can punch & punch a backer circle, pop it up (pop dots are one of my fav's too) & good to go.
Here's a close-up & Copic colors used are listed below.

Skin- E13, 11, 000, W3
Cheeks- R30, E000
Lips- RV34, CB
Eyes- BV08, 04
W7, 5, 3, 00
Dress- BV04, 02, 01, 0000, W3
Socks- E71, 70, W3, CB

Sugarplum Fairy

Here's another card for my online buddies. This cutie pie is another image from Mo's Digital Pencil. I love this girl's artistry, it's fantastic.

I think this image was probably meant to be for Christmas, but in my book Fairies are great any time of year! I have tons o elements on this card again, as I have mentioned my style is sort of "more is better"  Sometimes this gets in the way of my finishing projects. I'm thinking I either have AADD or a tiny bit of OCD or I'm maybe just way too fussy! I've used Spellbinders Beaded Circles, Bitty Blossoms for the handmade roses, & a Poppystamps die called Tilda Swirl. The other embellies are from my hordeous stash. (if there is such a word) A little dab of Frantage' was added here & there.  Colored with my Copics, of course, which are listed below.
Copics used:
Skin- E13, 11, 00, W3
Cheeks- R20, E00 to blend
Lips- RV11, 34
Dress & cap- V01, 000, 0000, W3
Wings- V0000, W1
leaves- YG11, W3, G20
Sugarplums- V04, 01, W3, V0000
Ruffle- W1, 00, 3, 00

Two Owls

Hello friends. Don't fall off your chair, but I posting again!!!! I love, love, love, how this card turned out! This stamp is from Mo's Digital Pencil and when I saw it, a tiny voice just screamed out at me to purchase it. I tried the "Scandinavian" technique on this card as in my previous post and I think the contrast between light & dark is just awesome.
I've used lots of layers on this card, starting with a Kraft background which I distressed with my new Zutter Distrezz-it-All V20. I got this for Christmas, & oh is this little machine great!
Some medallions I made with a MS punch. Spellbinders Labels Eighteen, a Cheery Lynn dragonfly die & mini flourish, Dee's Distinctively stylized floral dies, all purchased at Picture This. Whimsy Stamps picket fence die, and last but not least, my lovely hade made flowers with my Spellbinders Donna Salazar Bitty Blossoms die set. I have used the pants off this set, oh my how I love to make paper flowers!! Oops the ting flowers are punched with some odd little punches I picked up here & there. Here's a close-up of the sweet little hugging Owls, & the Copics I used are listed below.

Copics used:
Wings, tails, around eyes & forehead- E71, 70, W3 & CB
Eyes, beak, feet- E53, 51, 50, W3
Scarf- B34, 32, W3, CB
Moon- E51, 50, W3
Branch- E79, 70, CB
Hope you enjoyed this card & thanks for stopping in.

I have also entered this card in these challenges.

Birthdays

Hello everyone. I've been missing for a long time now & I have so many reasons they are too lengthy to list. I finally had to go computer shopping and am now learning Windows 8. Not as bad as I thought it would be. This next year will see many changes for me if all goes as planned. My soul searching has given me some answers that I need to put into motion starting this spring. I'll keep you posted as I move forward. I have been working on a few new things with my beloved Copics and have a class coming up on February 8th at Picture This on pleats & folds. Looking forward to it and sharing my little helps & hints. :-)
I'm sharing a card today with a technique I've been working on but have not quite perfected yet but I thought it turned out OK so I'm posting it to give you a little peek.
I MAY have a class on this when I get a little better at it. The idea is to make the Copic coloring look like painting with Distress re-inkers on watercolor paper, or what some are calling "Scandinavian" style coloring. I'm still trying to perfect it, but I seem to not get enough paleness through the center of the colored parts, ahhhhhhh here comes my favorite words..... practice, practice, practice!  Anyway I hope you enjoy the fruits of my labor so far. I have couple more cards to post with different images colored in this same technique in the next few days, so be on the look out.
This image is a digital image from Sherri Baldy's "Besties" line. I actually love digital stamps as they are easily accessible to me way out here in the boonies, and affordable too. I'm not promoting them, so as to take business away from retail stores, I'm just stating what works for me.
I've used a work table full of dies & a punch or two, so if you see something & want to know what it is just email me at the address on the bottom of my page & I'll let you know what it is.
Here's a close-up of the image & the Copics I used will be listed below it.

Copics used:
Skin- E13, 11, 00, W3
Blush- R30, E00
Lips- R20, CB
Eyes- E29, 25
Hair- E23, 31, 41, W3
Fur- W1, 00, 3
Dress- R20, 00, 000, W3
Earrings- R20, W3, R000

Hope you enjoy this card & stop back soon.
Hugs, Maureen
