See this video for instructions on shaping the Botanical Roses- https://www.heartfeltcreations.us/howto?view=videos&videoID=67

Instructions: Start by cutting two pieces of neutral lavender from the paper pad, 8" X 8 1/2". On the 8 1/2" side, score at 4" & 8", leaving a 1/2" tab at the end. Flip the paper 90 degrees and score at 2". On the 1/2" tab end of each paper, snip the tab up from the bottom to the 2" score line and cut this away. Now make a 1/16" angled cut to the 2" score line on either end, and the 4" score line, forming a negative triangle. I will have photos of this step on my blog: www.maureensmagic.blogspot.com. Next using the ornate die of choice (there are three in the set) tape the die 3/4" down from the top, making sure it is centered & die cut. Continue this twice more down to just above the 2" score line. I will have photos of this step on my blog as well. Fold score lines at this point. Add a strip of glue along the 1/2" tab of one of the side pieces. Glue it in place to the plain side of the other side panel. Repeat this step to form your box shape. turn the 2" scored panels up and fold two opposites together, then fold the last two to overlap the first and glue in place. Cut four rhinestone strings 5 1/4" long and glue one on each outside edge of the die cut sides, making sure to start at the bottom so your box lid will have room to slide down over the box. Cut six rhinestone strings 3 3/4" long and glue one along the bottom of each die cut side of box and one in between each die cut as pictured. make four small bow and glue to center of the two middle rhinestone strings.
Make box lid by cutting a 5 1/2" square of dark purple from the paper pad. You will be scoring all four sides and here's the trick to get the box lid to fit. Line up the edge and make a small mark with a pencil at the top of the 3/4" mark, then move the paper to the outside edge about the width of a score line and then score. You may want to practice this on a scrap piece of paper until you get the hang of it. Now snip in to the score line on two opposite sides to form the tabs you will glue together to form the lid. Fold score lines and glue tabs. Now glue rhinestone string around the bottom edges of the lid. It takes approximately 16". with black ink stamp one set of flowers on lavender and two sets on purple cardstock, Cut with matching die. Shape flowers as per video, glue beads in centers. When dry coat each flower with Mod-Podge. With black ink stamp three sets of leaves onto light green paper from paper pad. Cut with matching dies. Shape leaves slightly. Cut  four to six thin strips (1/16") of this same paper and using the curler tip of the flower shaping tools, curl them tightly around the tip and then gently slide them off.
Stamp the owl tree on with cardstock using black ink. Color with the dove blender tool using the browns for the tree, purple for flowers, charcoal, green, lavender, pumpkin, & blue for the owls. Fold the base of the tree backward about 1 1/2" and tape the die hanging over the image about 1/8" inch over the edge. Cut this out. Add lavender stickles to the flowers on the tree. Now cut a thin chipboard tree using the same method as above. You may have to shim it to get it to cut all the way through. Glue the image to the chip board and now add glue to the folded tab and glue in place to the top of the box. With the lid on the box, arrange the flowers, leaves and curly tendrils to the lid & glue in place as pictured. I added a couple small flowers to the bottom left corner, & larger flowers to the back of the tree base to help keep it standing up straight. Place a flameless tea light to the inside of the box when the glue is dry enough to lift the lid. This will complete the tea light box.

Here's a couple pictures of the box base to sort of guide you along if you choose to try this.

I hope you've enjoyed my project today and the added pictures are helpful. For more fantastic inspiration head on over to the HC Blog!

Wednesday Sugar Hollow Inspiration

Hi bloggers. Time for another sweet card from the Sugar Hollow Collection from Heartfelt Creations.
So far this is our biggest seller to date. Peacock Paisley was the holder of that title, but these sweet little owls have now taken over that honor! My card today is a step card. I wanted to do something a little different. I recently purchased a Spellbinders die that
cuts and scores the base so there is no more measuring, cutting & hand scoring, yay!
My card is done in greens and corals. The paper collection is mostly pink, purple and green, but I colored the little owl in the swing first and needed to match his coloring, and here you have it!

You can find the complete directions for this card along with my teammates lovely projects this week on the Heartfelt Creations Blog, so be sure to stop on over there.
Thanks for stopping in.

More Coffee Talk Inspiration from Heartfelt Creations

Hi blogger, another post from the "Coffee Talk" collection this week. I'm trying my hand at CAS and I think I had better stick to my normal style. I can never be happy with the end result when I try clean and simple. I love the look of them when I see them around the web, but I'm always disappointed in my own. Oh well, it was worth a try. Maybe I'll have better luck next time.

You can find complete instructions for this card on the Heartfelt Creations Blog, and my other teammates projects as well.

Friday the 8th Heartfelt Creations blog is going to have a tribute to one of our team who suddenly passed away just before Christmas. Be sure to stop in and see her beautiful work.  Her name is Penny O'Dell and I'm here to tell you she was a fantastic designer. We all miss her dearly, and pray for peace for her family. We are all like family, busy chatting behind the scenes, sharing ups and downs, oohing and awing over the upcoming releases, so when one team member steps down, leaves or passes away it's devastating to us all.
Bless you sweet Penny, you're surely missed.

Thanks for stopping in and next Wednesday we have a new fun release coming your way. I think it will definitely chase away those after Christmas blues!

Hugs, Maureen

Coffee Talk Inspiration from Heartfelt Creations

Hi bloggers. Time for some more of this wonderful Coffee Talk Collection.  I've used the Latte Art stamp set for my card today along with one of the borders from the Border Essentials that was released with this collection. So far I have figured out fifteen different ways to use this seven piece
versatile die! My roses are made using the Botanical Rose die and the little alphabet circles come in the Italiana Rivera paper collection. One more fabulous thing about Heartfelt Creations, almost all of their collections are interchangeable!

The complete instructions for this card and all my teammates wonderful projects can be found on the Heartfelt Creations Blog so be sure to check it out.

Thanks so much for joining me today and stop in again.
