Cinderellaaa

Hello there followers! Here's another card with an image from Saturated Canary.
I love this Krista Smith!! I have a few more digi's from her I'm coloring so I would imagine you'll see a few more cards on my blog with her dolls as my image. They are so much fun to color. There are lots of open areas to practice shading, and the hair, well what can I say......it's Divine!
I've noted a few boo boos now that I've got the picture posted and one great thing about Copics, you can fix anything at a later time. I either have to quit coloring at night, or get a magnifying light. Couldn't have a thing to do with my eyesight, now could it? Hee hee!
I have lots of elements on this card, and yes I had to get a few flowers on it, I missed them! I really love to make paper flowers, but there isn't always time to do so, so I sort of mix them up with the bought ones. I have ordered a new die from Spellbinders for making flowers. It's a new release from the last CHA show called Bitty Blossoms and comes from Donna Salazar's line. I can't wait t'il it gets here so I can play! I ordered it from Cut At Home with my 40% off coupon for March. You should check them out, and sign up for the monthly coupon. Even with shipping the dies are about six bucks cheaper than buying retail, yay!!
Here's the supplies I used for this card:
Stamp: Saturated Canary Digi, Cinderellaaa (funny spelling) not me, Artist!

Whispy Fairy

Hello there all. I have a Saturated Canary digitally stamped card for you today. She is called Whispy Fairy, and since Fairies are my favorite I had a blast coloring her. I find that the more I like a stamp, the better I color the image, odd, but true. I saw this stamp on Bev's Rochester's Blog and of course, had to skip on over to Kristin's store and buy her. What an addiction!! Better than drugs and or alcohol, says me!
I went to a "Stampede" this past weekend and actually won a second place prize for this card, yay!
And did you notice what's missing?
NO FLOWERS!
I'm not sure how I managed to get finished with this card without them. I did use some lovely wrinkled, hand dyed, seam binding that everyone is so crazy about now. I ordered four different colors from
Whimsy Stamps. It's something new they have started to carry. So I'll give it a try. I have issues with messy, but I'll try my best to work with it, in hopes it will grow on me. There are quite a few pretty colors and it comes in three yard lengths. This one is called Robin's Egg.

Here's a close up of Whispy, so you can see how cute she really is.
These are the supplies I used to put this card together.

Shower

Here's a card I did for a baby girl shower. I love this little stamp. I needed a baby stamp, and found this one at Picture This instead. I thought it was so sweet with the umbrella, made me think shower anyway.  I have to apologize for my photo's lately. It seems I'm always in a hurry to get a picture of them before they have to go out the door.
I'm learning how to use my Picasa program for some editing,, but there is only so much a computer can do. You have to give it something to work with in the first place. :-)
Maybe that new camera I've been wanting is in the not to distant future!

Recipe for this card
Ink: Memento
Paper: From an old DCWV matstack from Joann's
Stamp: Penny Johnson's Floating down the river, by Stampavie, sentiment computer generated
Dies: Spellbinder Labels Eleven, CC Designs Butterflies
Flowers, ribbon, pearls, etc. from my stash
Hope you enjoyed this card and thanks for stopping by.

Birthday Cardinal

Here's a card I was commissioned to do for a Birthday. The ladies favorite birds are Cardinals. Well, try to find a Cardinal that's not Christmas, but still looks real. Lord have mercy, did I have my work cut out for me. I looked at several shops and could not find anything I thought was suitable. So I remembered having this lovely digital stamp from Fred she Said. It really is a Christmas stamp, but I have hidden the holly leaves and berries at the end of the branch with flowers, leaves, a stick pin, etc. Clever, huh? I thought so. The sentiment is from Just-Rite Stamps. I had just picked up this die set at Picture This. LOVE that little Leann and her girls. If you ever want a great shopping experiance, check them out. I have searched for things in the past, and asked Leann to try and order them for me, and bless her little heart, she always comes through. You go girl!!!
This die is one of those things I had on my wish list.
In case your interested it is from Cheery Lynn Designs and it's called Heart to Heart Lace Doily. There are four dies in the pkg. but it cuts six shapes, cool, huh? I love it. I have several of this company's dies and they are really nice, but here is a little hint I learned from Leann. When I use my Spellbinders dies I use plate A, then plate B, paper, die face down, and the plate C in that order in my Cuttlebug. When you use these dies ( Marianne dies also) it's plate A, plate C, die face up, paper, then plate B. I'm not sure why but if you use the Spellbinder sandwich they don't cut well, but the other way they come out perfect, hmmmmmmm? It's a great thing to know.
Here's the recipe for this card:
Ink: Memento, VersaMagic Sahara Sand for shading
Paper: K&Company, 6X6 pad called Julianne (yummy!)
Stamps: Winter Cardinal digital by Fred she Said, Birthday Sentiment Set by JustRite
Dies: Heart to Heart Lace Doily by Cheery Lynn Designs, Flourish LR0116 by Marianne Designs
Copics:
Cardinal, R27, 24, 22
Beak, Y21, 26
Legs, C5, C3
Branch, E35, 33, 30
Flowers from I Brake for Stamps and a few from my stash along with the stick pin. I make those with Corsage pins and pearls glued on them.
Hope you enjoyed this card and thanks for stopping by.

Birthday Lizzie

I've been away for so long I'm not sure I remember how to do this, but here goes nuthin'! This is a card I made for my cousins Birthday way back in December. I sort of got discouraged by all the digi work I was doing to meet challenge deadlines and just gave up I think. I find that if I just work on my inspirations and do my own thing I seem to be more motivated to design cards. I have been working on a few Valentine's Day cards which I hope to post in the next few days, but I had this card photographed and ready to go so I used her. This is a digital image from Sugar Nellie and once again I am in love with this little girlie. Her name is Lizzie and she has been added to my collection of digital stamps from this line. I get them from Funkykits. My cousin is a redhead so I colored her to look like her and tried to use some of "her" colors as she would put it. Peaches, greens, etc. Unfortunately I made this card so long ago I can't remember what color Copics I used. E's, G's, and YG's I'm sure, which tells you a lot, right??? Sorry. :-(  I see some of the blog's I follow cluster all the Copic's they use and photo them and post that photo for the colors, so maybe I should give that a try. I don't always remember to jot down the colors as I use them.
I've added this close up photo so you can see the detail of these stamps. Practically all the shading is already done and you just need to color!! I hope you've this little Lizzie and thank you so much for stopping by.
Hugs,
Maureen

CDACPC6- Polar Bear

Here's my 3rd entry for this round of the CDAC  progressive challenge. This little guy is from Designed 2 Delight. I love this bear, I mean how cute is he? Part of the challenge was to snow two cards up, so this is the 2nd. of my snow cards. I used Aleene's Glitter Snow on the icicles and under the bear. Then, because I had already added Viva Pearl Pen to the snow drops around the bear, I decided to paint over my snow with Yasutomo pearl paint to tie them all together. Love how it turned out! I'm tellin' you this Christmas card making brings out the best in us card crafters! Today is my B-Day and a friend and I are going to the big city of Eau Claire, WI. to have a bite to eat and then go out to
Picture This for a Copics class. For me this is the ultimate in Birthday fun! I am offically a Senior citizin today. AARP would tell you it's a good thing but I think I'll let the jury stay out a while longer on that one, LOL!
I added this close-up so you can see the snow better in case you'd like to try this technique. It's very pretty on the actual card. My photo taking ahhhhhh....................not so much!
Here's the elements I used on this card.
Stamps- Polar Bear by Designed 2 Delight, sentiment by Outlines Stamps
Paper- solid CS from my stash, DP from DCWV's Homemade Christmas stack
Dies- Spellbinders Beaded Ovals, icicle LR0135, flourish LR0116 by Marianne Creatables and Tropical Flourish B127 by  Cheery Lynn Designs
Ribbon, brad, pearls,  & Candi's, all from my stash
Copics used- R27, R24, YG63, YG61, C1, & C5
Hope you enjoyed this card and Thanks so much for stopping by.

CDACPC6- Cabin

Here's my 2nd. entry for the CDAC challenge I'm not sure if this cabin is supposed to be in the winter time of just out in a field, so I chose to make my winter and add some snow here and there. This digital image is from Ginger Loft. One of the many Artist's who donate their art so CDAC can keep these wonderful challenges going. Park of the challenge this time was to try & make two of the projects with snow. I have this one and one more to add to my blog tonight or tomorrow morning. This one has Liquid Applique' with glitter added to it when it was wet and then heat setting it. It doesn't show very well in the photo, but it makes the snow sparkle and soooooo pretty!!

Here's the elements used in this card.
Stamps- Cabin by Ginger Loft, sentiment is Holiday Ticket by Raindrop Echo over at Whimsy Stamps
Paper- DP is by Moxxie called Through the Woods and the solid CS is from my stash (everybody has one)
Dies- tree by Marianne Design, LR0136. I think this link is in Dutch, but you can look at what she has to offer. Creative Hdieaway in Medford carrys this product.
Stickles- Lime Green & Star Dust
Sheer ribbon, jewelry finding, pearl brad, snowflake ribbon, all from my stash.
Copics used- C1, C5, B0000, YG61, YG67, E17, E19
