Two Owls

Hello friends. Don't fall off your chair, but I posting again!!!! I love, love, love, how this card turned out! This stamp is from Mo's Digital Pencil and when I saw it, a tiny voice just screamed out at me to purchase it. I tried the "Scandinavian" technique on this card as in my previous post and I think the contrast between light & dark is just awesome.
I've used lots of layers on this card, starting with a Kraft background which I distressed with my new Zutter Distrezz-it-All V20. I got this for Christmas, & oh is this little machine great!
Some medallions I made with a MS punch. Spellbinders Labels Eighteen, a Cheery Lynn dragonfly die & mini flourish, Dee's Distinctively stylized floral dies, all purchased at Picture This. Whimsy Stamps picket fence die, and last but not least, my lovely hade made flowers with my Spellbinders Donna Salazar Bitty Blossoms die set. I have used the pants off this set, oh my how I love to make paper flowers!! Oops the ting flowers are punched with some odd little punches I picked up here & there. Here's a close-up of the sweet little hugging Owls, & the Copics I used are listed below.

Copics used:
Wings, tails, around eyes & forehead- E71, 70, W3 & CB
Eyes, beak, feet- E53, 51, 50, W3
Scarf- B34, 32, W3, CB

Hope you enjoyed this card & thanks for stopping in.

Birthdays

Hello everyone. I've been missing for a long time now & I have so many reasons they are too lengthy to list. I finally had to go computer shopping and am now learning Windows 8. Not as bad as I thought it would be. This next year will see many changes for me if all goes as planned. My soul searching has given me some answers that I need to put into motion starting this spring. I'll keep you posted as I move forward. I have been working on a few new things with my beloved Copics and have a class coming up on February 8th at Picture This on pleats & folds. Looking forward to it and sharing my little helps & hints. :-)
I'm sharing a card today with a technique I've been working on but have not quite perfected yet but I thought it turned out OK so I'm posting it to give you a little peek.
I MAY have a class on this when I get a little better at it. The idea is to make the Copic coloring look like painting with Distress re-inkers on watercolor paper, or what some are calling "Scandinavian" style coloring. I'm still trying to perfect it, but I seem to not get enough paleness through the center of the colored parts, ahhhhhhh here comes my favorite words..... practice, practice, practice!  Anyway I hope you enjoy the fruits of my labor so far. I have couple more cards to post with different images colored in this same technique in the next few days, so be on the look out.
This image is a digital image from Sherri Baldy's "Besties" line. I actually love digital stamps as they are easily accessible to me way out here in the boonies, and affordable too. I'm not promoting them, so as to take business away from retail stores, I'm just stating what works for me.
I've used a work table full of dies & a punch or two, so if you see something & want to know what it is just email me at the address on the bottom of my page & I'll let you know what it is.
Here's a close-up of the image & the Copics I used will be listed below it.

Fur- W1, 00, 3
