CDACPC3-No one can fill your shoes

Here's my 5th entry for the CDACPC challenge. This didgi stamp is from Lia Stamps. I did try to link up for this gal, but I received a message stating her blog couldn't be found. I could possibly not have had the right address though. I'm sure if you wanted to see her product you could go to the CDAC website and find her.
I can't believe I actually got all five images done this time. My house is a total disaster though, LOL. My Mom used to say housework is nover done, I think I've carried that statement to the extreme this week. Yikes!!
Once again the "Fall" theme seemed to elude me, but I managed to sneak a little bit of it in there. Do you think I have a fobia about Fall? maybe it's because I know winter is right around the corner and here in Wisconsin that usually means bitter cold and tons of snow! Let's not talk about that anymore and move on to the elements of this card, much more fun!
Stamps- Lia Stamps digi Lady in coat, Impression Obcession sentiment, Gina K Retro Boutique(shoes), Recollections Leaves.
Dies- Spellbinders Deckled Mega Rectangles, & Fancy Tags Two
Inks- Memento Tuxedo Black, Distress Antique Linen
Paper- K&Company Mat Stack, my stash
Ribbon, Rhinestones and Diamond Stickles from my stash
Thanks so much for stopping by today, leave a comment if you'd like. And I wish to thank all the designers and staff of CDAC for this wonderful and fun challenge. See you next time!
Hugs,
Maureen

CDACPC3- Duck

Here's my 4th entry for the CDACPC Challenge. I couldn't seem to find a name for this little guy, so for my design I have named him, Watson. It just seemed to fit somehow, LOL. He's from Nicecrane Designs.
This image sort of looks, Tim Holtz-esk, to me. The theme for this challenge was Fall, but I struggled with this card to make it look like Fall. I think it is definitely a 'Man Card" as we have come to call them. :-) I scooted by on the seat of my pants by adding the little maple leaves to get the "Fall" part in there!
I used quite a few elements on this card so I hope I get the all listed in the recipe.
Here goes,
Papers are from Graphic 45 Proper Gentleman, Core'dinations Core Impressions Jenni Bowlin Collection ( love how the buttons match his little coat), DCWV Tattered Time and some green from my stash.
Duck from Nicecrane, Ticket stamp & cutting die from Whimsy, the sentiment is computer generated. Medallion is from Spellbinders Fleur de Lis & around Watson is the Deckled Retangles Large, and the brad is Bo Bunny. I believe the Maple leaf is from a whole set of different leaves from Recollections. it's fairly new and I got the set at Michaels, with a coupon of course!
Watson is colored with Copics:
Feet & bill- YR04, Y21
Head, tail, & legs- C1 (just a little to shade & define)
Top of coat, shirt & buttons- E40, 43
Coat & hat- YG61, 63 &G20
Riding crop- E57
Ground under feet & around edge, E31 ( my fave for this)
I stamped over Watson with a crackle background stamp and shaded around the edge with Distress Ink Antique Linen.
Lets see is that everything? Nope! I forgot I punched the edge of the green trim piece with EK Success Fluer de Lis border punch.
Whew!!!! I think I've gotten it all now.
Thanks so much for stopping by and if you have any questions about anything I post you can email me at- maureenrussell@centurytel.net

CDACPC3-Fall Elf

Here's another card for the CDACPC3 challenge. By George, I think I just may get them all done this time! This image is from Gurukitty Designs. You may want to check out this gals site as I see she has some Copic Tutorials. I'm going to look it over when I get done posting this card.
This image is called an Elf, but she looked like a Fairy to me, with those pointy ears and all!  I think she is so pretty
Here's the recipe for this card.
Stamps-Digital Oak leaf Elf by Gurukitty, Birthday Postage Stamp Sentiments from Whimsy Stamps (they also have a die to match this stamp!)
Paper, ribbon and rhinestones from my stash
Glitter- Orange peel, & Diamond Stickles
Ink- Distress Antique Linen
Copics:
Skin- E000, E00
Lips & Cheeks- RV11, R20

CDACPC3- Sunflower & Swallowtail

Hello folks. Another card for the CDAC progressive challenge. This image is from Just Ink Lined called Sunflower & Swallowtail. I just adore it! My love of Sunflowers was totally satisfied with this image.
I colored this image with my Copic markers. Not sure how I ever lived without them, LOL.
Sunflower-Y13, 21, 17, &YR04
Leaves- YG61, 63, & 67, my faves for greens
Butterfly- C5, C7, B93, 100, & E50 & Glossy Accents, and just a tiny touch of Waterfall Stickles
Shading around image- B0000
Papers, ribbon, braid, & charm were from my stash
Dies- Spellbinders Classic Ovals Lg., Scalloped Circles, & a Marrianne Flourish
I used a MS border punch for the green banner on top, cutting a 2 inch strip of paper and punching it on both sides to make it scalloped on both edges to sort of match the braid. I do this alot with the border side of my Punch Around the Page sets. You get duel purpose from them, a new look that way, and it's fun too!

Here's a close up and you can see the Glossy Accents and how it makes the butterfly pop! Thanks so much for visiting today, and many thanks to those of you who leave comments.

Maureen

CDACPC3

Hello everyone here's a card called Apple Bowl from Glitterbabes. It's part of the third round of digital stamps I received in the CDAC progressive challenge I am in. The Grand Prize is 12 Copic markers. Yay!!!!
I decided to do an easel card for this image. I wanted enough of this cute paper to show after I got through with embellishments. I bought the paper at Picture This in Eau Claire and designed my colors to match it. Notice that I added Ranger Glossy Accents to my apples to make them sparkle! Here's the recipe for this card.
Stamp: Apple Bowl by Glitterbabes, sentiment maybe Inkadinkado?
Paper: Fancy Pants Designs, Favorite Teacher
Dies: Spellbinders Classic Circles, Beaded Circles, Sizzix Tim Holtz Elegant Flourishes
Coloring:  Copics
Apples, R20, 24, 29, &59
Bowl, BG10, 11, 15, &18
Embellishments: Petaloo flowers, brads from my stash, bakers twine.

Hope you enjoyed this card and take notice, not one speck of glitter!!! LOL
Thanks so much for stopping by.
Hugs,
Maureen

If the broom fits.....

Here's my second card I was supposed to post yesterday, a day late and a dollar short, to coin an old cleshe'.
Believe it or not, there isn't one stroke of Copics on this card!!! What a switch for me. The stamp inspired this card. I just loved it. "If the broom fits.....fly it"  How funny is that? The glittery background paper is a scrap I found left over from last year and the Wicked Witch is from the Graphic 45 6X6 called, The Magic of Oz. Love it, Love it, Love it!!! Graphic 45 rocks! I have several of their 6X6's and each one is stunning.
The tag and flourishes are from a new Spellbinders set called Twisted Metal Tags & Accents. The spider webs are a MS punch, love it too! The black roses are hand made and the little orange accent flowers are the MS hydrangea punches. And of course what would a Halloween card be with Drippy Goo! I stamped the tag with a cracked background stamp and then shaded it with some Color Box creamy brown chalk ink. A few rhinestones here & there, some orange Stickles, shiny green leaves, some Glossy Accents on the Witches clock and shoes, and done!! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed this card.

Happy Haunting

I know it's a little early for Halloween, but I was so inspired by all the fun stuff out in the stores I just had to give in and make a couple Spookies!!! I'll post this one today & another tomorrow. This card was done with a technique we learned at card group last week. I love the look of the cut up & shaded edges when you put them all back together. Thanks Sue!!!

The recipe for this card is fairly easy, not a ton of elements as I usually have on my cards, but believe it or not, I actually liked the way this turned out.
The designer paper is Martha Stewart Mat Pad for Halloween. The solid color papers are from my stash.
Stamps: Stampendous, Pumpkin Fence, Inkadinkado, sentiment
Copic Markers: Pumpkin, Y17, YR04, 07 & C7 inside cut out face
Stems & vine: YG61, 63
Fence: C5, &7
Shading under Pumpkins: W3, &5
Shading done with Colorbox Chalk ink, Charcoal
Martha Stewart, mouse and bat punches
EK Success, Fleur de Lis border
Spellbinder, Fancy Tags Two
Sizzix, Fancy corners die
A few orange Rhinestones, and finite!!!
Thanks for stopping by today and if you have questions leave a comment & I'll do my best to answer.

CDAC Challenge #2

I am posting two cards today for the second round of CDAC challenges. The theme is Back to School. This was REALLY a challenge for me as it has been decades since I had to send someone back to school! You can still buy in to this challenge for $1.00 if you so choose. There are six challenges total and you get free digital stamps and you must complete at least one project and post it to your blog, or to theirr gallery. It's not necessary to have a blog to enter. All the rules are on the CDAC site. It's fun!!! Challenge yourselves, I did.
My first card is a little bookworm, so cute he is. He is from Jen's digi stamps.  Check her out!
I colored him with Copics, of course, embellished with some eyelets and some cool little things that look like brads but aren't.
I got them at Picture This in Eau Claire, ummmmmmm, dreamy shop!
I stamped a few numbers on my MS punch around the page Double Loops background, it needed a little something.
I doubled up the looped squares and off set them to tie in the yellow on the book. Primary colors just seemed to fit this little guy. I'm loving this Bakers twine stuff. This is the last of my red & white so I'll be picking more of it for sure.

My second card is this cute little girl from Stamp-n-Doodle.
They're on vacation until after Sept. 12th if you want to visit their site. I wanted her to look super girly so I did my card up in pink and soft blue. I love the way it turned out.

Colored with Copics also. It's pretty much the way I do most everything now. I am in love with these markers. I swore I was never going to get started buying them because of the expensee, but now that I have them I wouldn't give them up. I'm still learning to use them, but the more I practice, the better things are turning out.  I used Spellbinders Mega Deckled Rectangles small, and a Marianne die for the flourishes. The letters on the left are computer generated and I cut them out by hand and matted them on the same corrugated paper as is behind my little girl image. The letters are on a strip made with MS punch Doily Lace Trim, so pretty I think. Hope you've enjoyed my cards and check out CDAC if you can. Thanks for stopping by.
Hugs,
Maureen
