Roaring 20's

Hey bloggers, how are you holding up under all this pressure to be good? I think I'm am fine, as crafting is my passion anyway & I'm perfectly happy staying in and doing what I love! My little doggie is missing the neighbors though. I can tell she is really sick of looking at my pajamas! LOL
I worked on this card For a couple days as I would get distracted by phone, T.V., Facebook, etc. I finally finished it and I'm in love with it. The products I used are Crafters Companion.
I started out with a 5" X 7" card base to accommodate the printed image on the Roaring 20" paper. I used a double sided die called Sprigs and Blossoms for some of the twiggy looking elements on her headdress. The sparkle on her head band is Chloe Pink Champagne glitter. Never seen anything quite like this stuff. It's amazing. I'm thinking CC needs to make it in more colors! The rest of the card is made from different elements of the Natures Garden "Peony" collection. Even the large cabbage rose. The three sized petal stamps & dies were each cut two times, inked up with Fuchsia water re-active ink. I shaped them and formed into the rose! The "Hello" die is also from this collection. The papers are from CC also, Mirror, Glitter, & Essentials. Wonderful card stock. I hope you get a bit of inspiration from my card today.

Be safe and take extra precaution in these troubled times.
Big cyber hugs from me to you,
Maureen

Sympathy cards

Much as I hate to make this type of card, I am very happy with the way these turned out.  I used the Crafter's Companion Double sided dies, Rose & Sprigs and Blossoms, which are fascinating to work with by the way. And one of the new Edge'ables dies, With Sympathy. The little rose corner die is from the CC magazine # 15. I also used some Centura Pearl card stock, and some of the 3" X 6" mat 220 gsm color coordinating paper pads. The rhinestones and ribbon are from my stash. The beauty of these cards is there is plenty of dimension but they still will fit in a 6" X 6" envelope. I struggle with that and have a boatload of envelopes that were never used as my cards normally require a box. I am so happy to have discovered, with the help of Crafter's Companion, a way to start using them up! I hope you enjoy the inspiration.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and be cautious, safe, and healthy in these troubled times.
Hugs, Maureen

Hello, it's me!!

Hello bloggers, I've been away for what seems like forever. I've had a lot change in my life over the past little while. Sold my home that I lived in for over 25 years. Wow, was that ever an experience I care NOT to repeat! It took my sister and I a year sort, pack, and get the house ready to sell. I never knew I had sooooo much stuff. I moved into a mobile home less than half the size of my house. Talk about the mother of all downsizing! My house sold in ONE week, and for the first time in like forever, I was homeless! The buyer gave me 45 days to move, which I was ever so grateful for.......But the chase was on! When you live in Wisconsin, December is never a good time to move, much less when you are in the market for a mobile home. And to avoid having to move twice I had to find a place immediately. The only thing I found that was in my budget and livable was in Green Bay which is 160 miles from my old home, almost 200 from where I wanted to live.
I am going to write a book on what to do, and NOT to do, when moving a mobile home for senior citizens. I will become rich!
On to the good stuff. I now, and finally have my craft room in working order, so I'm ready to once again join the living in the paper crafting world. I have applied for, and hope to be chosen for a spot on the Design Team for Crafter's Companion. They are a UK based company and sell all over the world. The also sell on the HSN home shopping network. They have stunning products and very high quality. I would be proud to promote their product.

Whether I am accepted on the DT or not, my intention is to get my Blog back up and running. Facebook is a wonderful way to stay in touch and promote, but I think the blogging is the ultimate way for instruction on projects. I REALLY need to learn how to YOU TUBE!
I'm adding this 6" X 6" card to this post made with Crafter's Companion products. My first post in  a long time so I hope it meets all expectations!

All of the products used in this card are listed  as follows from the Peony Collection. Sara Davies, the company's founder has a line called Natures Garden. This  one of the series.
