PPRS Inspiration Monday

(Looking for Sherri Baldy My Besties post, please scroll down)

Hello Bloggers. Time again for some inspiration from Prickley Pear.
I've chosen the HH0160 Bobby Bronco, & DD0214 Howdy Partner Stacked rubber stamps to make my card for today. I think this cowboy is so cute for a little boys birthday. I always admired the Buckskin horses so I colored mine to look like old Marshall Dillon's horse. Do any of you remember Gunsmoke? If not then I guess I am really dating myself. Let's just change the subject shall we. :-)
I used some Cheery Lynn dies to add the barbed wire & grass on my card. The fence posts & cloud I created on my own with a little ingenuity, an embossing folder, my guillotine cutter, and scissors to complete my scene. I popped up my cowboy & cloud to give my card dimension. I had one little cowboy hat charm left in my stash & thought it was perfect for this card!

I'm adding a close-up of my card & I'll list the Copics used below it.

Copics used:
Hair- E53, 51, 50
Skin- E13, 11, 000
Cheeks- R30
Hat- E43, 41

Pants- B95, 93, 91
Horse body- E31, 30
Mane, tail, & legs- C10, 5
Saddle, rope, & halter- E27, 25

Hope you enjoyed my card for today & stop back in.

PPRS Monday Inspiration

Happy Monday bloggers! Back again with some inspiration using Prickley Pear Stamps and dies.
I've mixed it up today with my card. I took some artistic liberties with a stamp from the
CLR027C Scalloped Oval 4 set & turned it into a large pot. Not what it was intended for I'm sure. But guess what? I like it! In my pot I put the new release FF0170 Bearded Iris. I didn't have a clue as how to color it so I went to the good old stand by "Google" and looked at pictures of many varieties.
The one I chose is called "Starship Enterprise" how cool is that? Loved the name so it made up my mind for me I guess. :) The sentiment I used is from the CLR013C Scalloped Oval & Circle 4 set & I nested it on top of a Cheery Lynn Mini Doily Die. I used the D042 Scalloped Oval Nesting Die Set and the D045 Flourish Die to make the background for my potted Iris after I fussy cut them out. The paper, ribbon, button & Candi are all from my stash of goodies.

Here's a close-up of my Iris and pot. The Copics I used to color them are listed below.

Copics used-
Pot- E37, 35, 31
Iris- R39, 85, 83
Y13, 11, 00, E53
C0, 00
Leaves- YG67, 63

Thanks for stopping in today & be sure to get some more inspiration from my Teamies that you can find on my sidebar! See you soon.
Hugs, Maureen

My post today is short as I still have some verses to put into cards yet tonight after I am done scheduling this post, so if you have any question about my card, my email address is at the bottom of my blog.

PPRS Inspiration Monday

Hi bloggers! Did you all have a happy Mother's day? I sure hope so.
I have a card today that has a suitable Mother's Day sentiment which was yesterday, but in my opinion, if you're a Mommy, every day is Mother's Day!
Todays card is using products from PPRS. As a DT member we showcase their products on Monday to give you some inspiration, so lets hope my card today kicks your creative juices into flowing freely! I've used EE0188 Mothers Hold for my sentiment, and made some custom flowers using the CLR015A Blobby Flowers 2 Clear Set. I added the new D045 Flourish Die to represent leaves. the dragonfly is a Cheery Lynn die, and the tiny punched flowers, rhinestones, twine, & Washi tape are all from my stash.
I know I've said this in the past, but my "style" is, more is better, but....... I seem to be all over the place lately. I'm learning that on smaller cards (A2) less seems to work better. I'm learning to like the end result a little more each time I make this size card. Don't get me wrong, my heart still belongs to cards filled with "stuff" to look at, don't ya know, but I am learning, in my quest to produce loveable teeny cards, that there is a place for all sized cards out there. Wow, never thought I'd be saying that. :-)
Any way here's my baby for today & I think it's quite pretty.
I have another picture of the flowers if you'd like to look at them close-up. I did some stamping, sponging, curling, squishing, stacking and general fooling around with paper & these honeys are the end result! Cool huh?  (have no clue why flourish looks brown in this pic, it's not)

Thanks for stopping by today & letting me share my PPRS goodness with you. I have all the girls on the Design Team on my side bar, just click on their name & you'll go right to their blogs. Check them out, they do some amazing work!
Hugs, Maureen

SACC #56

It's Friday again, and for all you workin" peeps, Halleluiah!! For me it's another challenge day at SACC & as always, anything goes! Our sponsor this week is Stamp and Create. You should go & check them out. They have a complete line of rubber stamps from many companies and all the accessory products you could possibly want! they did not specify an image this week, so I have chosen to use a digital stamp by Norman Burnell called "Hoot Owl" I found him at Sweet Pea Stamps. They seem to be on trend this year, and I, for one have fallen into the old trap of " I can't get enough OWLS" myself.  This is another site I have to wear my bib when I search through it! (get it? drool, drool) I used some Graphic 45 paper, a couple dies from Spellbinder, a flourish from Marriane, twine, & a Steampunk sentiment from PRSS. Not too much fussiness today.

I have a close-up of this little guy, who is awesome by the way, and I colored him with my Copics which I will list below.

I am going to list the colors, and it's pretty easy to figure out where I put them if you are a Copic user. I'm sure any of you interested in my list are, so I don't feel the least bit guilty, :-)

It is the place to get your Thomas Kinkade stamps!!! We also have rubber stamps as well as a great selection of Digital stamps. Some time ago the business closed & went up for sale & was purchased by Tanya K, who also owns Stampers Ink, the home of Riley and Company Stamps. Here it is time again for some inspiration using Prickley Pear products.
Today is Cinco de Mayo and I had nothing to share for this holiday, but good wishes, or have a happy day. So for all of those who have a Birthday on this date, or celebrate this holiday, have a great one!!
On my card for today I've used the new release HH0161 Victorian Trike and dressed it up a bit with some Copics in the spokes. The other PPRS elements on my card are
CLR027C Scalloped Oval Floral 4 Clear Set, D044 Heart Oval Insert Die, and I took some liberties with the CLR047 Mini Vases Clear Set to add some flowers to the basket & then some flower soft for dimension.  The papers, bakers twine, silver cord, MS border punch, liquid pearls, & charm are all things in my collection of "finishing it off" goodies. I will list the Copics I used below.

SACC #55

Here it is, Friday & time for another Sister Act Challenge. Our sponsor this week is Fitztown, and the prize is three digi's of your choice. So enter peeps, you could be the next winner!
I used one of their images called cameo #6. I think she is just awesome. There are so many cool digital stamps at this store you should definitely check them out!
I've seen this look while blogging myself & thought I'd give it a try. I think it is supposed to resemble a black & white photo. This is my first try & it's Ok, but I think I need way more practice!
I've used some Spellbinders Floral Oval dies & I used a Prickly Pear die that is called Flourish that is new this spring, & I just love it. The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps. The ribbon & Candi are from my huge horde of crafting supplies!  I've used Copic markers to color my image & I'll list them below.

Here's a close-up of my colored image.

Copics used:
