Cinderellaaa

Hello there followers! Here's another card with an image from Saturated Canary.
I love this Krista Smith!! I have a few more digi's from her I'm coloring so I would imagine you'll see a few more cards on my blog with her dolls as my image. They are so much fun to color. There are lots of open areas to practice shading, and the hair, well what can I say......it's Divine!
I've noted a few boo boos now that I've got the picture posted and one great thing about Copics, you can fix anything at a later time. I either have to quit coloring at night, or get a magnifying light. Couldn't have a thing to do with my eyesight, now could it? Hee hee!
I have lots of elements on this card, and yes I had to get a few flowers on it, I missed them! I really love to make paper flowers, but there isn't always time to do so, so I sort of mix them up with the bought ones. I have ordered a new die from Spellbinders for making flowers. It's a new release from the last CHA show called Bitty Blossoms and comes from Donna Salazar's line. I can't wait t'il it gets here so I can play! I ordered it from Cut At Home with my 40% off coupon for March. You should check them out, and sign up for the monthly coupon. Even with shipping the dies are about six bucks cheaper than buying retail, yay!!

  1. It's beautiful! I met you in Minneapolis and just have a question regarding the mouse - it refers to R91 and I don't see that color on the color chart from the class? I was sitting in front of you and you shared your blog with me and hope you don't mind I've sent it to others to view as well. Not sure how to email you so thought I would just comment. You do beautiful work.

    1. Hello Linda, I do remember you. How nice to hear from you. I see now that I posted the wrong number for the pink. It was R81 not R91, geeez what a nut! I may have also used a little RV000 for the lighter color as well. I color from dark to light, laying down my dark color first and then going over it about half way and blending upward from the darkest color. It's hard to explain, just a method I've developed that works fopr me. I am going to give you my email address and you can ask me anything & I'll try to answer it for you. maureenrussell@centurytel.net

    2. Thanks so very very much - the new one is gorgeous also, as is all your work. I'll add your email to my contacts - I so appreciate that. As you can tell I've been busy and haven't had time to look but hopefully will do better in the future.
